We were lucky enough to have Benni Boelli over from Germany last weekend for the EDGE Race Cup. He was bringing with him a load of the first production run of the soon to be released SONIC Race. This kite is an all out race kite – designed for one thing only – winning races! Benni has managed to lose around 70m of bridle by going from 4 rows of bridle (A, B, C, Z) to just three (A, B, Z)! This is a massive step forwards in terms of development. We had seen final prototypes and video footage whilst visiting FS HQ last month.

The evening before the racing started a light wind breeze kicked in and Team Bridge were keen to test the kites out. They headed out on 15s with Benni on an 18. It was great to see the kites in the sky – looking incredibly stable and yet very fast. We sent the drone out after them to grab some video – take a look!
