Flysurfer UK Team Rider Josh Hough reports on the Connor Enduro Race

On Sunday 25th March 2012 the weather for the SWATK Connor Endurance Team Race at Brean Sands was bright, dry with barely a breath of wind. Perfect for the Flysurfer Speed 3 21m!! Me and my Dad were a bit apprehensive sat in the pit area in my flexi bug, surrounded by race buggies with disk wheels, racing boards and various race kites.

12:15pm and the 3 hour race was underway, wind blowing no more than 3- 4 mph cross off-shore. Due to the lack of wind at times I was the only one moving with the 21m Speed 3. It was the perfect low wind kite for buggy racing. Despite its size, in the light winds, it still remained smooth and responsive. Towards the end of the race the winds picked up to 10mph and the speed 3 21m continued to be easy to fly with plenty of depower. By the end of the race we had managed to win by a margin of 10 miles.

We had a great day out at a well organised event and met lots of new faces. Would love to enter again next year to retain the title, just hoping for light winds!
