Flysurfer have been working on developing this concept for a number of years. I first rode a prototype a couple of years ago, and it was decent, but not very refined. When I saw the final version in Germany earlier this year I was blown away. The design is so simple and easy. It requires no tools. The FlySplit is the perfect board for those travelling and not wanting to take sports baggage. Business travellers who want to get a session in whilst away can now sneak a kite and a board into their luggage. Those going away on holiday with their family, who cannot justify an extra bag can also sneak a kite and a board into their luggage just in case the opportunity for a session presents itself.

It is not all about air travel either. If your main form of transport is a motorbike or even a bicycle – this is a game changer! The same goes for public transport and 2 seater sports cars.
